Terms of Service
Last updated: May 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the bitcoin++ website at btcpp.dev and your attendance at conferences and related events organized by btcplusplus LLC ("we", "us"). By purchasing a ticket, applying to speak, applying to volunteer, or otherwise participating in a bitcoin++ event, you agree to these Terms.
1. Tickets, payments, and refunds
All conference ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds. Once you complete a purchase, the transaction is non-refundable and non-reversible, regardless of whether you ultimately attend the event. This applies to all ticket tiers (general admission, local, sponsor, speaker, volunteer, and any other type we issue), all payment methods (fiat, lightning, on-chain bitcoin), and all promotional or discounted prices.
We may, at our sole discretion, allow you to transfer a ticket to another attendee before the event. Transfers are a courtesy, not a right, and we may decline a transfer for any reason. Tickets are otherwise non-transferable.
If a conference is cancelled outright by us, we will attempt to honor your ticket at a future bitcoin++ event in the same city or region. Beyond that, the no-refund rule still stands.
2. Your email address and communications
We treat your email address as confidential. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share attendee email addresses with third parties for any purpose outside of running the event itself.
The only exception is hackathon participation. If you opt into a bitcoin++ hackathon, your email may be shared with hackathon partners, sponsors, and judges so they can contact you about your submission, prizes, or follow-up opportunities. If you do not participate in a hackathon, your email is never shared on this basis.
Any communication you receive from sponsors, partners, or other event collaborators is mediated through bitcoin++ — we forward relevant messages on their behalf without disclosing your contact information. Sponsors who want to reach attendees do so through our channels, not by being handed an attendee roster.
We may use your email to send transactional messages tied to your participation (ticket confirmation, calendar invites, schedule updates, conference logistics) and, if you have opted in, our newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.
3. Code of conduct
By attending a bitcoin++ event you agree to behave respectfully toward other attendees, staff, speakers, sponsors, and venue personnel. Harassment, threats, doxxing, and physical violence are grounds for removal from the event without refund and a ban from future events. Reports can be sent to [email protected].
4. Recordings, photography, and content
Conference sessions are typically recorded and published publicly under our YouTube and other channels. Speakers may opt out at application time. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed incidentally as part of the event audience.
Speaker slides, talks, and other contributed materials remain the intellectual property of the contributor. You grant bitcoin++ a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to host, distribute, and promote the materials in connection with the event and our archives.
5. Use of the website
You may use btcpp.dev for personal, non-commercial purposes tied to participating in our events. Automated scraping at volumes that interfere with normal operation, attempts to bypass authentication, and probing for vulnerabilities without prior coordination are prohibited.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The website and events are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the website or attendance at an event is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant ticket.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued participation after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
8. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected]. Privacy-specific questions are addressed in our Privacy Policy.
